Youth Employment Initiative
The NDC Trust are proud to have joined forces with the Youth Employment Initiative (YEI) as one of their delivery partners. We offer training and support to local young adults, aged between 16 and 29 years old, to prepare them for a career in construction.
Construction training provided by us will be mainly renovating properties. You will engage in work experience on a construction site. We aim to produce work ready trainees, with sufficient experience to move on into further training or employment, which the NDC Trust may be able to identify through our partners.
We will provide you with a mentor to support you through the training process and moving forward onto your chosen career path.
Although The Hartlepool NDC Trust are no longer delivering this project we are still working towards training people of all ages towards a start in the construction industry. The Tees Valley Routeways Programme will support 575 young people aged 15 to 29 years old across the Tees Valley who are unemployed or inactive with the aim of progressing the individuals into education, employment, training or self-employment. The programme is supported under the Youth Employment Initiative and delivered by a consortium of organisations from the Public, Private and Voluntary Sector. The programme is part-funded by the European Social Fund and Youth Employment Initiative as part of the 2014-2020 European Structural & Investment Funds Growth Programme in England.
